Biography
Jason Nixon was sworn in as the Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services on May 16, 2025. He previously served as Minister of Environment and Parks, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, Government House Leader, and Minister of Seniors, Community and Social Services.
Prior to his service as an elected official, Mr. Nixon was a successful entrepreneur. He was also an Executive Director at The Mustard Seed, where he spent several years running an addiction treatment facility.
Jason Nixon was first elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre on May 5, 2015 and was re-elected on April 16, 2019 and May 29, 2023.
